Welcome to the 4th Annual Clearwater Classic: Baddest on the Beach!
What started as a single Strongman competition has now grown into a full-scale Strength & Fitness Expo, bringing together athletes, vendors, fitness enthusiasts, spectators, and multiple strength disciplines from across the country.
While additional sports and attractions will be announced in the coming weeks and months as details are finalized, one thing will never change:
STRONGMAN IS THE FOUNDATION OF THIS EVENT.
The Clearwater Classic was built by Strongman athletes, for Strongman athletes, and Strongman will continue to be the premier attraction of the weekend.

NO MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS TO COMPETE!!
Athletes will clean and press a circus dumbbell for as many reps as possible within a 60 sec time limit.
Score will be the total number of reps completed.
Athletes will start the event at a starting line.
Athletes must wait for the judge’s command to receive a good rep.
No lift will count unless a down signal is received from the judge.
To receive the down command, feet must be in line with each other, and the head must be in line with the arms. Elbow, knees, and hips must be locked out and stable.
Dumbbells are not allowed to rest on the athlete's head.
For a good rep to count, the athlete must not lose control and drop the dumbbell behind them.
Equipment not allowed: tacky, spray adhesives, tack towels, or any other sticky substance.
Athletes will toss 3 sandbags over a tall bar and then load a Sandstone bag over a yoke crossbar in a 60 sec time limit.
Score will be the total number of bags completed and the time of each completion.
Split times are taken when bags hit the ground.
Athletes will start the event by touching the upright of the equipment with a hand.
Athletes will throw 3 Cerberus Strength Sandbags over the designated crossbar in order by weight.
All three sandbags must completely clear the bar before proceeding to the Cerberus Strength Sandstone.
Equipment Not Allowed: tacky, spray adhesives, tack towels, or any other sticky substance, grip shirts, deadlift suits, or briefs.
Height of tall bar for throwing bags is:
Teen Women = 11ft
Women = 13ft
Teen Men = 13ft
Men = 15ft
Height of yoke crossbar for Sandstone loads is:
Teen Women = 36inch
Women = 42inch
Teen Men = 42inch
Men = 48inch
Athletes will deadlift a power bar with large tires for as many reps as possible in a time of 60 seconds.
Score will be the total number of reps completed.
Athletes will start the event standing behind the deadlift platform.
Conventional 9" deadlift performed on platform with power bar.
No lift will count unless a down signal is received from the judge.
To receive the down command, knees and hips must be fully locked out with shoulders behind the plan of the bar.
Only conventional stance deadlifts will be allowed. (no sumo, Jefferson, etc..)
Touch and go is not allowed. Athletes must wait for up commands from the judge.
Equipment Not Allowed: tacky, spray adhesives, tack towels, or any other sticky substance, grip shirts, deadlift suits, or briefs.
Athletes will be seated and will pull a rope connected to a 1.5 ton dune buggy 50ft across the finish line within 60 sec time limit.
Score will be the total distance pulled or the time when the distance is completed.
Athletes will start the event in a seated position with feet braced against the board, holding onto the rope.
Athletes may choose whether the guide rope assistant is positioned on the left or right side.
On the judge’s command, the athlete will pull the dune buggy as fast and as hard as possible toward the finish line.
Equipment Not Allowed: tacky, spray adhesives, tack towels, or any other sticky substance, grip shirts, deadlift suits, or briefs.
Athletes will start with Farmers carry 50 ft down and 50 ft back. Then will attempt to lift the Power Pin up three 18-in steps in the time of 60sec.
Athlete will begin with hands on the farmer's handles.
On the judge's command, the athlete will pick up the farmers and carry them 50 feet down the course.
The front of the farmers implements must completely cross the designated turnaround line.
Athlete will then turn around, pick up the implements, and carry them back 50 feet to the starting position.
The front of the farmers implements must completely cross the finish line.
Athlete will then immediately proceed to Stage 2: Power Stairs.
Athlete will pick up the power pin and load it onto the first 18-inch step.
Athlete will then move the power pin to the second 18-inch step.
Athlete will then move the power pin to the third and final 18-inch step.
The power pin must be fully seated on the third step.
Time stops when the athlete demonstrates control and removes both hands from the implement.
Event will be scored by fastest completion time.
If the athlete does not complete the event within the time limit, distance and/or completed implements will determine placing.
No tacky or sticky substances allowed.
No straps
Chalk is permitted and encouraged.
