Vic Grand Prix Round 4
Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible.
• Athlete will start at implement (hands off)
• On go / whistle Athlete will lift and press the implement overhead.
• Athlete must wait for the down call from the referee before commencing next lift.
• Athlete may control the implement back down to rack position and re press when ready. (Implement does not need to touch the ground between reps)
Press must finish with -
• Arms locked out
• Feet in line
• Implement under control
• Kegs not being controlled down or dropping behind the athlete will result in a no rep.
• Chalk, wrist straps, elbow straps, belts are allowed.
• Any other sticky / adhesive substance will zero event and potentially not allowed to compete for the rest of the day.
Scoring -
• Athletes with the most successful reps will win that event.
If the same number of reps are completed by two or more Competitors points will be shared.
Athletes will deadlift for as many reps as possible within a 60 sec time limit.
• Athlete will stand behind the bar (hands off) ready to go on the judges athlete go / whistle.
Deadlift must -
• Finish with knees and hips locked out.
• Shoulders back
• Control lift back down to the floor.
• Hitching is allowed.
• Chalk, belts, Figure 8 and 6’s and baby powder are allowed.
• Suits not allowed.
• Touch and go reps are not allowed. Bar must be a clear dead stop before next lift or will result in a no rep.
• Shoes or as a minimum socks must be worn.
Scoring -
• Athlete with the most successful reps will win that event.
If the same number of reps are completed by two or more Competitors points will be shared.
Athlete will carry the two kegs 10m up, around a cone and back 10m in the fastest time possible.
60 second timeframe will be given.
• No drops allowed! Once an athlete has dropped a keg they will receive a distance covered score. (If dropped within the first 1m athletes will be able to re pick and try again once only)
• Athlete will start behind the start line. (Hands may start on the implement)
• On GO / whistle athlete will lift and carry the kegs 10m around a cone and 10m back to the starting line.
• The kegs must both cross the finish line and wait for the “clear” call given by the referee.
• Chalk, belts, knee sleeves, shin protectors allowed.
• Straps are not allowed.
• Any other sticky / adhesive substance will zero event and potentially not allowed to compete for the rest of the day.
Scoring -
• Fastest time wins.
If not completed in 60 seconds or a keg was dropped, distance covered will be measured.
Athlete will have 60 seconds to place the keg over a 1.2m bar as many times as possible.
• Athlete will start with wrists on the bar.
• On GO / Whistle athlete will lift the keg and place it over the bar as many times as possible in the 60 second time limit.
• Chalk, wrist wraps, flexible belts and grip shirts are allowed.
• Any other sticky / adhesive substance will zero event and potentially not allowed to compete for the rest of the day.
Scoring -
• Athlete with the most reps over bar will win event.
If the same number of reps are completed by two or more Competitors points will be shared.
