Over 2 days & 6 events to find out who the strongest in Queensland will be in 2026
Choose from 3 bars to deadlift to accumulate as many points as possible
60 seconds to accumulate as many points as possible.
Athletes can move between bars throughout the time cap. Athletes are free to go up and down in weight as they please.
Athletes will start behind the line. On the go command they will make their way to which ever bar they wish to start on.
Full lockout is to be achieved to receive a down call. Knees locked, hips through & shoulders back.
Down calls will be visual & audible
Bars must be controlled to the ground. Any bars dropped from above the knee will not be counted towards points.
A minimum of socks must be worn.
Allowed : belts, knee sleeves, chalk, figure 6 straps,
Not Allowed: suits, squat briefs, figure 8 straps, grip aid of any sort, bare feet, headphones
If an athlete jumps a go command, a zero score is given for that event.
Pass out rule: If an athlete passes out during an event, that will signify the end of their attempt.
If an athlete passes out a subsequent time during competition, they will not be allowed to continue the competition.
3 Bars . Any reps on a heavier bar, trumps any reps on a lighter.
Athletes have 60 seconds to get as many reps as possible.
Any reps on a heavier bar will out weigh any reps on a lighter bar.
Athletes will start behind the line, on the go command they will bake their way to the bar they wish to lift first.
Athletes can move between bars. Eg. The athlete starts on the heaviest bar first and does not succeed, the athlete can then move to a lighter bar. Alternatively, The athlete can start on a lighter bar, then move to the heavier bar.
Athletes need to achieve a full lockout to receive a down call. Full lock out is bar over head, elbows locked, feet back together under the body & stability.
Athletes can push press, split jerk, push jerk, strict press.
Belt cleans are not allowed. The bar can not go directly from the belt to the rack position. If the bar hits the belt, it must immediately be bumped up off of the belt to a higher position
The down call must be received within the time cap for the rep to count
Bars must be controlled down to the ground. Hands on until at least waist height. Slamming & mic dropping bars is not allowed
Any bars lost behind the head, regardless of a good rep or not, will not be counted.
Down calls will be audible & visual
Shoes must be worn
Allowed: Belts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, chalk, grip shirts
Not Allowed: Knee wraps, headphones, grip aid of any kind

5 atlas stones set 5m, 3m, 1m, 0m & 0m to the platform. Pick stone, walk to the platform and load
Athletes have 90 seconds to load 5 stones to a 1.2m platform
Stones are to be lifted in order of lightest to heaviest
Athletes start with standing over the first stone. On the go command, the athlete will lift the first stone and move it to the platform and load and so on.
Stone 1 set 5m from platform
Stone 2 set 3m from platform
Stone 3 set 1m from platform
Stone 4 set at the platform
Stone 5 set at the platform.
It is the athletes responsibility to make sure the stone is loaded to the platform and is stable before moving onto the next stone.
Athletes will receive a finish time or a split time on the last successful implement.
Shoes must be worn
Allowed: belts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, tacky/belt grip
Not Allowed: Suits, squat brief, knee wraps, headphones, chalk

If an athlete passes out a subsequent time during competition, they will not be allowed to continue the competition.
Farmers carry 10m and backwards drag anchor 10m
Athletes have 60 seconds to run the farmers 10m and backwards drag the anchor 10m
Athletes can start with their hands on the farmers, but they must remain in full contact with the ground until the go command is given.
The centre of the farmers must cross the line, a clear call will be given to signal the farmers have crossed the line.
Drops are allowed
The athlete will then backwards drag the anchor back the the start line. The anchor must fully cross the line to receive a finish time.
The referee will give a clear call to signify the anchor is sufficiently over the line
Athletes will be given a finish time or distance.
Sliding or dragging the farmers is not allowed. Any slides or drags will incur a 10 second or 5m penalty, depending of the athlete finished the run or not.

Allowed: chalk, belts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves
Not allowed: Grip aid of any kind, lifting straps, knee wraps, gloves, headphones
If an athlete jumps a go command, a zero score is given for that event.

If an athlete passes out a subsequent time during competition, they will not be allowed to continue the competition.
Sandbag Toss over bar for fastest time.
Athletes have 60 seconds to toss 4 bags over a bar
Ladies bar is set at 3m, Mens bar is set at 4m
The bags must hit the ground within the time cap for the throw to count
All bags will be set along the same line for every athlete, 5m away from the cross bar
Athletes will start with a hand on the cross bar, on the go command, the athlete will make their way to the first bag
It is the athletes responsibility to retrieve any bags that don't successfully go over the bar and re-attempt.
A clear call will be given by the referee once the bag has crossed over the bar
Athletes will receive a finish time or the number of successful bags over the bar if unfinished.

Allowed: belts, knee sleeves, wrists wraps, elbow sleeves, chalk
Not allowed : Knee wraps, grip aid of any kind, headphones, suits, squat briefs

Athletes will carry a sandbag and load over a bar. They will run around the bar and proceed to pick & carry the next sandbag and load it over the next bar, then pick & carry the final sandbag and load it onto a platform within a time limit.
The bags are in the order of Sandstone, Husafell & sandbag.
Athletes have 75 seconds to successfully pick, run & load 3 sandbags in the order of sandstone, husafell & sandbag
Athletes can start with their hands on the first bag. It must remain in full contact until the go command is given
Bag 1 must be picked, run 10m, loaded over the first bar. The athlete can go around or under the cross bar, pick bag 2 & repeat. Bag 3 will be loaded to a 1.2m platform.
Athletes will receive a finish time or a split time of the last successful bag
