Yoke Carry (down and back)

Yoke Carry (down and back)

Athletes will carry a yoke down and back a course as fast as possible within a 60 sec time limit.

  • Athletes have 60 seconds to carry the yoke 10m up and 10m back

  • Athletes can start under the yoke, but the yoke must remain in full contact with the ground until the start command is given

  • The centre of the yoke must cross the 10m line and the finish line on the return run

  • Drop allowed

  • Sliding & dragging not allowed. 1st warning will result in a 5 second or 5 metre penalty. Second warning will result in the end of the attempt.

  • Athletes will get a clear call at the 10m mark and finish line.

  • Athletes will be given a finish time or a distance score

  • Shoes must be worn

Allowed: Grip shirts, chalk, knee sleeves, belts, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves

Not Allowed: Knee wraps, headphones, grip aid of any kind, straps

Log Clean & Press for Reps - Trump

2 Logs. Heavier trumps lighter.

  • Athletes have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible

  • Athletes have 2 logs to choose from

  • Any reps on the heavier log trump any reps done on the lighter log

  • Athletes will start at the start line. On the 'GO' command, athletes make their way to which ever log they'd like to start on

  • Successful reps will be fully locked out. Log overhead, head through, elbows locked, feet back under the body, stable & motionless

  • Athletes will be given an audible & visual down call

  • Any reps lost behind the head, regardless of good/bad rep, will be deemed a no rep

  • Viper, push press, split jerk, push jerk allowed

  • Logs must be controlled back to the pads. Any logs dropped from above the waist will be deemed as a no rep

  • No belt loops

  • Athletes will receive a rep score

Allowed: Chalk, knee sleeves, belts, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, grip shirts

Not Allowed: Lifting straps, grip aid of any kind, knee wraps

Athletes have 60 seconds to lift their max sandbag to shoulder.

  • Athletes have 60 seconds to lift their max sandbag to shoulder

  • Athletes can start in front of their chosen sandbag

  • On the 'GO' command, the athlete can lift the sandbag

  • The sandbag needs to be on the shoulder, stable and other hand away, for the down call to be achieved

  • Athletes can move between bags as they please. This can be up and down in weight

  • The athletes will be scored on the heaviest bag shouldered

  • Shoes must be worn

Allowed: Chalk, grip shirts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, belts

Not Allowed: Grip aids of any kind, headphones

Athletes have 60 seconds to pick a frame, walk it 5m to the keg, continue around the keg and back 5m to the finish line.

  • Athletes have 60 seconds to pick a frame, walk it 5m to the keg, continue around the keg and back 5m to the finish line.

  • Athletes can start with their hands on the frame, the frame must remain in full contact with the ground until the "GO" command is given.

  • Drops allowed

  • Dragging &/or sliding is not allowed. 1st warning will incur a 5m or 60 sec penalty, 2nd warning signifies end of attempt

  • Shoes must be worn

  • Athletes will receive a time or distance score

Trump Deadlift for Reps

Athletes can choose between a lighter & heavier bar for reps. Any reps done on the heavier bar outweigh any reps on the lighter bar

  • Athletes have 60 seconds to pull as many reps as possible

  • Any reps done on the heavier bar will out weigh any reps done on the lighter bar

  • Athletes can move between bars as they please

  • Athletes will start on the line, on the "GO" command, athletes move to their bar of choice

  • To achieve a down call, full lockout must be achieved. Knees locked, hips through, shoulder back, stable

  • No finger tipping. The bar must remain in contact with the palm of the hand

  • No touch & go reps

  • Bars need to be controlled to the ground., hands to remain on the bar until at least knee height

  • A minimum of socks must be worn

Allowed: Chalk, deadlift suits, figure 6 & 8 straps, belts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, talc

Not Allowed: Grip aids of any kind, headphones

Sandbag Steeplechase

Sandbag Steeplechase

Athletes will carry the first sandbag down the course and load it over a bar. Then, they will run around or under the bar, pick and carry the sandbag again down the remainder of the course, and load it over a bar. Then they will run back to the sandstone and repeat the process as fast as possible within a 90 sec time limit.

  • Athletes have 90 seconds to pick & carry the first sandbag down the course and load it over a bar.   • Dropping & repicking allowed

  • The bar height is 1.2m

  • Athletes will score a time and number of bags completed

  • Athletes can start with their hand on the sandbag, but it must remain in full contract with the ground

  • Shoes must be worn
