Athletes will perform a deadlift for maximum weight. Each attempt will be 30 seconds, and athletes will be able to choose which weight jumps they want to attempt until they fail. The bar will continue to increase in weight by 44lb / 20kg jumps until all athletes are finished. A maximum of 5 attempts will be allowed for each athlete.
Score will be the weight of the last successful deadlift.
Athletes will be allowed to skip weight jumps. Every weight jump is preset to a 20kg increase.
Once an athlete fails to complete a successful deadlift within the time limit, they are done.
Athletes will start the event at a starting line.
Once time begins, athletes will be allowed to strap in and attempt their deadlift.
No lift will count unless a down signal is received from the judge.
To receive the down command, knees and hips must be fully locked out with shoulders behind the plan of the bar. Once the down call is received, the bar is allowed to be dropped.
Only conventional stance deadlifts will be allowed. (no sumo, Jefferson, etc..)
Equipment not allowed: Deadlift suits or powerlifting briefs. (Flexible neoprene shorts are allowed.)
18" Hummer Tire Deadlift for max weight with set jumps and rising bar style.
Athletes will carry a Hi-Temp Loadable Húsafell for maximum distance without dropping.
No time limit.
Total distance completed is your score.
Athletes will start the event touching the implement.
Athletes will pick up the implement from the ground.
Athletes are allowed to turn at 50ft / 15m only when crossing the line or when a foot breaks the line.
Distance is measured from the closest part of the Húsafell when dropped.
No drops are allowed. Once the implement touches the ground, your attempt is over.
No shouldering allowed. Only front carries.
No resting on a belt or other built-up equipment.
Equipment not allowed: Tacky, spray adhesives, tack towels, or any other sticky substance, or grip shirts.
Athletes will carry the first sandbag 25ft / 7.5m and load it over a hitching post. Then, they will run around or under the hitching post and carry the sandbag 25ft / 7.5m and load it onto a platform. Then, they will run back to the second sandbag and repeat the process as fast as possible within a 60 sec time limit.
- First sandbag is a Cerberus Strength Dual-ply Sandstone Sandbag.
- Second sandbag is a Cerberus Strength Dual-ply Sandbag.
Athletes will compete head-to-head (2 lanes).
60 second time limit.
Time and number of bags completed is your score.
Time stops when the last sandbag is loaded to the platform and the athlete’s hands are off.
If an athlete is unable to finish loading both sandbags on the platform, split times will be taken at each sandbag load.
Athlete begins on a line.
Gloves and chalk are allowed.
Bar and platform height are:
Women = 42in / 107cm
Men = 48in / 122cm
Athletes will throw a series of sandbags over a crossbar in the fastest time within a 45 sec time limit.
Score will be the total number of bags completed and the time. Split times will be taken on each bag when it hits the ground behind the crossbar.
Athletes will start the event touching one of the uprights.
Once time begins, athletes will toss each sandbag over the crossbar from lightest to heaviest.
Credit for heavier bags will not be given until all lighter bags are successfully tossed over the crossbar.
In the unlikely event a sandbag gets stuck on the top of the crossbar, the athlete will be allowed to move to the next sandbag. If the sandbag remains stuck, the athlete will receive credit for the sandbag. If the sandbag falls down on the ‘athlete side’ of the crossbar after previously being stuck, the athlete will not get credit for that sandbag and must throw the sandbag again. If the sandbag falls off the crossbar on the ‘athlete side’ within 15 seconds after time has stopped, the athlete will not get credit for the fallen sandbag.
Height for all men’s crossbars will be 15ft / 4.5m.
Height for all women’s crossbars will be 13ft / 4m.
Athletes will clean and press a series of 4 Cerberus Strength axle bars, increasing in weight, in the fastest time, within a 60 sec time limit. Each of the first 3 bars will be on Cerberus Strength Wagon Wheels. The final 4th bar will be fixed using custom locking wheels from Mammoth Industries.
Note: Teen Women axle weights may not use wagon wheels for all bars due to weight.
Score will be the total number of reps completed and the time. Split times are taken at each successful press.
Athletes will start the event at a starting line.
Once time begins, athletes will clean and press each axle bar, in ascending weight order, to full lockout.
Athletes must wait for the judge’s command to receive a good rep.
No lift will count unless a down signal is received from the judge.
To receive the down command, feet must be in line with each other, and the head must be in line with the arms. Elbows, knees, and hips must be locked out and stable.
The axle is not allowed to rest on the athlete's head.
All clean methods are allowed, including: squat, power, muscle, zercher, and belt cleans.
For a good rep to count, the athlete must not lose control and drop the axle behind them. Dropping behind is not allowed for any reason.
Equipment not allowed: Grip shirts, built-up elbow sleeves (a single elbow sleeve and cuff is acceptable), tacky, spray adhesives, tack towels, or any other sticky substance.
Athletes will carry a yoke down and back a 30ft / 15m course with the crossbar cradled in the crooks of the elbows rather than resting on the upper back. (A Zercher Carry) They will then lift a power stairs implement up onto 3 steps as fast as possible.
Athletes will compete head-to-head (2 lanes).
60 second time limit.
Time, steps, or distance completed is your score.
Time stops when the power stairs implement is complete on the last step and the athlete’s hands are off.
If an athlete is unable to finish all of the power stairs steps, split times will be taken at each step.
Athletes begin under the yoke.
Gloves and chalk are allowed.
