Termini di servizio

StrengthTech, Inc. è una società statunitense. Perché esista un'unica versione accurata, le nostre pagine legali sono disponibili solo in inglese.

Who we are

StrengthTech, Inc. ("StrengthTech", "we", "us") is a United States company, with part of our team operating from the United Kingdom. We run strengthtech.app, a platform for finding, entering, and running strength competitions. People use it all over the world. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

What the platform does

There are three ways people use StrengthTech:

  • Visitors browse competition listings, schedules, and live scores.
  • Athletes and spectators register for competitions, buy tickets, and buy merchandise from competition organizers.
  • Organizers pay us to run their competitions through the platform — registration, scoring, schedules, live results, and sales.

Two different kinds of payment

It matters who you are paying, so here it is plainly:

  • Organizers pay StrengthTech. When an organizer buys access to run a competition through the platform, that payment goes directly to us. It is processed by Stripe, our payment provider.
  • Athletes and spectators pay the organizer, not us. When you buy a competition entry, a spectator ticket, or merchandise for collection at an event, you are buying from the organizer. The payment is processed through Stripe Connect and goes to the organizer's own Stripe account. StrengthTech is not the seller of those items.

We never see or store your full card details. Stripe handles that under its own terms and privacy policy.

Refunds

  • For entries, tickets, and merchandise, the organizer's refund policy applies. It is shown before you buy. Refund requests go to the organizer. If a competition is canceled or changed, that is between you and the organizer.
  • Fees organizers pay to StrengthTech are non-refundable, except where the law says otherwise or we agree in writing.

Organizers are responsible for their events

StrengthTech is software. The competition itself — the venue, equipment, safety, insurance, permits, waivers, prize money, taxes on sales, and how the event is actually run — is the organizer's responsibility, not ours. Organizers must have the right to sell what they list, must describe it honestly, and must comply with the laws of the place where they operate, including consumer and tax law.

Accounts

Give us accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Registrations for minors must be made by a parent or guardian.

Your content

Organizers and athletes upload things like names, logos, photos, and results. You keep ownership of what you upload, but you give us permission to store it and show it as part of running the service — for example, showing an athlete's name and placing on a public scoreboard. Competition results are public by nature and may stay visible in archives. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • break the law, or use the platform to help anyone else break it;
  • interfere with the service — no scraping at scale, probing, or overloading it;
  • enter false results, impersonate others, or manipulate scoring;
  • resell access to the platform without our written agreement.

We can suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Outages and live data

The service depends on third parties we do not control — including our hosting provider, Cloudflare (our content delivery network), and Stripe. If one of them has an outage, parts of the site, including live scores and schedules during an event, may be slow, incomplete, or unavailable. We work to keep the service up, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, and an outage does not make us responsible for how a competition is run, scored, or settled on the day. Organizers should always have a paper or offline backup for competition-critical information.

Disclaimers and limits on our liability

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows: we make no warranties, express or implied; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data; and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid to StrengthTech in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and nothing takes away consumer rights that your local law gives you and does not let you give up.

Ending things

You can stop using the service at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we shut down the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice where we can.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we will post it here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where your local law gives you mandatory protections, those still apply.
